- For increasing Control Points by 1 if carried in the World Beyond
- Not stackable because it is a Heavy object
- As Defence:
- Gives 1 to the Town when placed in The Bank (Up to 3 with Defensive Focus)
- Increases Home defence by 1 when placed in the Personal Chest
- In this case it gives only 0.4 to the Town (0.8 with Community Involvement).
- As a Guard Weapon against Zombies during The Attack:
- It stops 25 Zombies if in a Watchman's Inventory (requires Miniature Armory).
- After the attack it disappears.

- With the Car Door it is possible to reach the maximum of Control Points for a single Citizen:
- A Guardian (4 CP) with the skills Healthy Body (+1 CP if Clean) and Brick S**thouse (+1 CP) carrying the Car Door (+1 CP) can have 7 Control Points.
- In Season 4:
- A bug fixed that allowed to generate infinite CPs in a zone. It involved a pairing of a Manbag and a Car Door. If both were carried, clicking on the manbag dropped all the contents of the citizen's rucksack while still not subtracting 1 bonus CP the car door provides. Picking the door back up increased the CP value by one. As you can see, such trick could be repeated a desired amount of times.
- Use of this exploit during the Clash of the Titans is believed to have forced MotionTwin to fix the problem.
- In Season 11:
- Watchmen points provided decreased from 40 to 23.
- In Season 16:
- No changes
